I had chance to visit Jwell Group's President, Mr.He Haichao and his Jwell Suzhou manage team at this important industry upgrade and transformation moment.
Two days Jwell visiting brought me a thoughts feast, and communicat with Jwell management team is a matter of what pleasure! I am touched by how they treat the employees. I believe that apart from the competitive products technology; best brand image; large enterprises scale and strong financial power, the best should be its energetic working atmosphere, friendly relations among collegues, and harmonious atmosphere which was envied in this industry.
Thirty-Three years, built a carrier in the field of Chinese plastic extrusion machinery.
Time is dialectics long and short in the eyes of enterprener. In 33 years, Mr.He and his team built Jwell a carrier in the field of Chinese plastic extrtusion machinery.
Based on a small screw and barrel manufacturer in 1978, Mr.He founded Shanghai Jwell Machinery Co., Ltd with a 12 people team in 1997. They followed the “persistent and sustained, rapid and orderly”entrepreneurial spirit, became the Chinese plastic extrusion machinery leader since then. Jwell Group owns dozen professional subsidaries, 7 big machineing workshopes, and 4 nitriding heat treatment workshops in an area of 670,000 square meter. Jwell's products cover all pipes lines; plate and sheet lines; foam product lines; profile line; auxiliary equipment; blow-moulding machines; tooling and moulds, screw and barrel. Jwell's products are distributed all over China and exported to over 50 countries such as in Europen, North and South American, Asaia and African. Jwell machinery brand and Jinhailuo screw and barrel brand are well-known in the industry around world.
Jwell Group meets the golden age of development within recent 5 years, with all employee’s hard working, the output from the 800 million Yuan in 2007 to 15 billion Yuan year 2010, the annual volume growth rate reach 20 to 30%. Introduced by Mr.Lin YongHong, General Manager of Suzhou Jwell Machinery Co., Ltd., the increasing orders from local market were greatly influenced by domestic infrastructure investment. With central government strengthen policy on develop north and west, the domestic sales are expecting well blowout increasing. But orders from overseas are expecting stable, it is estimated growing if North Africa become stable and oil price goes down. Comparing with same period last year, our sales increased 30% more, it shows extrusion industry is still in fast growing, we are confidence to reach our sales goal.
Suzhou Jwell is another important strategic development centre among Jwell Grou. Located at Suzhou Taicang Chengxiang Industrial Development Zone, with area 270,000 square meters, there are 5 professional companies under Suzhou Jwell, which are Suzhou Jwell Machinery Co., Ltd.; Suzhou Jwell Plate and Sheet Equipment Co., Ltd; Suzhou Dayun Recycling Machinery o., Ltd; Suzhou Jwell Precision Machinery Co., Ltd; Suzhou Jwell Blowing Moulding Equipment Branch. Mr.Lin said, due to fast market grow, Shanghai Jwell Group's capacity cannot meet the requirement, also Jwell considered the growing demand, Jwell addressed Taicang establish Suzhou Branch in 2007, gradually put into operation. Taicang municipal government visited Jwell on site several times give us instruction and guid us. The government officer proposed to establish Suzhou Plastic Machinery Industrial Park, we are encouraged to invest total amounting near 500 million Yuan, intend to establish the largest plastic extrusion machinery manufacture and assemble base in China. So far, the production area reached 180,000 square meter. There are 3 big machining workshops total area over 20,000 square meter, two nitriding heating treatment workshop are under construction, they are expected to put into production at the end of this year. Suzhou Jwell is capable to produce 1000 extrusion lines yearly, and turnover reached $500 million Yuan last year.
After Suzhou Jwell’s set up, Jwell has been built into carrier carrying professional extrusion machinery producers, Jwell gain rapid output growth. Actively Adjusted, Positive Planned and Future Oriented Although Jwell had good sales in the past several years and first quarter of this year, Mr.He said surprisingly, "Although at present our orders and performance are all right, but I feel a sense." The market demand mainly derived from the numerous government infrastructure investments, which is unsustainable. At the same time, as you see the real estate industry is going to be strict controlled, this will take a negative impact on our traditional customers in building material field. As Chinese economic grows, population bonus is in the fading. The global currency liquidity flooding and major oil output country’s political situation was unstable push up the various commodity prices, which continuously raise company cost. And traditional extruders are mature leads fierce market competition, and RMB has been rising continually, these are what every enterprise faced today, so, the government proposed economic transformation and industrial upgrade development policy.

I visited every workshop of Suzhou Jwell, take this opportunity to close witness the birth of Jwell’s competitive products, experience its outstanding quality and feel its innovative power.
Various parts which are machining are placed at the big workshop; equipment has various components and looked differently. In the workshop, lots of advanced testing instruments attracted my attention. Three coordinates of ignition-coil; ultrasonic thickness measurement; wall thickness measurement; flaw detector; various hardness measurements; optical spectrum analyzers. In the each production process, Jwell adopt first punch inspection, self inspection, sampling inspection, warehouse inspection; try to control the non-conforming products in a minimum range. Jwell also established a number of testing running workshop, according to customer’s demanding to reach the highest quality and security requirements, to ensure maximum meet the needs of the client.
Throughout the visiting, I am surprised is every member of staff is work hard and diligently, their movements were skilled in place, and filled with passion, looks like he was casting a work of art. In the early years ago, Jwell is the first one got ISO 9001 quality management system certification in the industry. Jwell in this year put money offered Japanese management consultants to Suzhou group training grass-roots employees; the training scheme is in a year time, hopefully after that the quality management conscious will be implanted to every employee’s daily actions. Since last year, Jwell sets up a month or every quarter examination for management personnel, technical staff, the after-sales service, and marketing personnel. Main purpose is to allow the company staff, from top to the bottom to be concerned about the product quality to meet customer demand, and deal with customer complaints to the timely processing, set the user’s satisfaction as the first place during daily work. In Mr.Lin’s words, “We are equipment provider; we are an expert to the client, we should be very good at quality control for our clients and not let our customer to undertake even though there may be little risk”.
On the other side, Jwell Group keeps on product technological innovation, continue to improve science and technology content in the products. Last year, the Suzhou Jwell applied two invention patents; gained 13 utility model patents nominations, such as multi functional corrugated pipe forming machine; transportation belts extrusion composite devices; plastic pipe vacuum forming devices. Suzhou Dayun applied 6 utility model patents nominations, Suzhou Jwell lunched over 30 technology renovation equipment, covered sheeting line, profile line; vacuum blowing moulding and auxiliary equipment. Some of them will show openly on Chinaplast 2011. Particular, Siemens, which is Jwell’s strategic cooperation partners for many years, will present Siemens automatic control system on Jwell extruder at Chinaplast.
Technical innovation and technological personnel training are always the focus of Jwell operation. In order to expanding vision and understanding new technologies, new trend, Jwell frequently organize technical seminars speech by well-known experts, organize technical staff visiting lots exhibitions, visit overseas cooperate partners. In addition to self technical development, Jwell also did technology exchanges and cooperation, introduced with other famous enterprises in German, United States, and Italy. Jwell technical personals are often informed to check equipment at site, prepare the next step to improve and upgrading.
Employees boom company, company raising employees, company and employees harmonious achieve win-win situation Like we mentioned at the beginning, Jwell is "lively" group, not just a company only make cold machines. Mr.He always said, “I am a lucky man, had a strong career-ambitious team”. Jwell manage team treat each employee as their own family member, Employee also treat Jwell as their big family. Humanized management is the base of success. There are several details impressed me. I observed each staff work at slow pace in mould workshop as if in the elaboration of a work of art. Mr.He smiled, “we have not stressed hurry or too fast to catch the delivery time. First is to ensure that every production personnel stay calm to ensure operation safety, secondly, only attentively can get quality improves. We went to a workshop, noticed a man standing in front of wall, bend his head in thought. I wondered, the reason that he was there is because he made mistakes, he was there to think over and doing self-examination. Instead of pay fine penalty as in most of companies, thinking and doing self-examination is more efficiency. In a workshop I saw found raising letter for a staff who was in seriously illness. So, Mr.He told me in order to better help our staff when they encountered difficulties, company established a mutual fund in which company make part, employees of voluntary contribute the other parts. When we were walking on the workshop, it was time just off, Mr.He called names and say hello to these randomly met workers. That really hit my heart; just imaging, Jwell is a company has nearly three thousand workers.
Jwell is the fertile source to raising person. Mr. Gao Jincheng is a young man in his early 30s, he is the assistant general manager of Suzhou Jwell Machinery Co., Ltd., sales manager. He joined Jwell in Nov. 2009. Within a year, his personal sales performances reach the 52 million Yuan, and this year he also completed the first quarter sales of 10 million Yuan. “Although I did not merit the highest one, but this is my personal best. I worked for three years in my previous company; I had done only five million Yuan. “ Mr.Gao said. “Jwell had good brand recognition, bigger market share and had been in a healthy development, users are in all over the country. You just mention Jwell, the customer all knows. Discussing business with customer is quite light.”
Mr.Gao said again, ”Sales person is the bound between customer and company. I will involve in every aspect of sales, production, after sales service. It is hard, but joyful. Corporate leaders often reminded us to take more rest, release the tension.” Mr.Gao said he like very much Jwell’s company culture.
Jwell has established a good salary welfare system Value staff’s hard working, when staff improve his ability and made contribution to the company, the company will raise his technological level and increase his income. During Jwell Group’s 13th anniversary last year, Mr.He addressed the need to maintain Jwell staff’s income at the higher level in the industry. So far there are nearly 200 cars to Jwell people. Jwell also established year-end bonuses, years of work and marketing hero prize. Open "Jwell Class" at technical college Starting from year 2008, Jwell Group cooperated with a number of vocational technical colleges opened “Jwell Class”. The students will be in the school for a period of about two and a half years, get training on electrical, mechanical, electronic, digital control, management, business courtesy. Jwell will provide students in the briefing and training opportunities at Jwell’s plants. At the end of the study, they will enter Jwell become one of the member of Jwell large family. This method is guaranteed Jwell get management person and technology professionals, and let more people have a good job.
To keep an enterprise continually develop in the intense market, the stability of its manage team, the develop of its team, team member’s view and quality are very important. Person to be chosen must comply with company idea; he or she must abide by, with a sense of responsibility and moral character. Otherwise, no matter how capable he or she is, is not our company needed.
Face the difficulties, moving forward with confidence Same as most of enterprises, we face company develop difficult and pain in recently years. 1. The orders expanding from overseas resulted in lacking service and installation persons cause both local and foreign clients with the follow-up services delay. Replace old leader with new management immediately, the daily management is not in a great influence, and our grass-roots workers are very stable; 2. Mr.He said, “We're not going to present the results at this moment.
